‘Trichy has recorded 19 swine flu cases and this is the first swine flu death in the district. Officials claim that the patient had traveled to Andhra Pradesh recently where she might have contracted the virus.’
“My mother was running high temperature from November 5 and was admitted to a private hospital on November 7. The medical officials did not inform anything about her health till the night of November 9 and they said got H1N1 before they insisted us and referred to MGHMGH,” said the victim’s son Chellapandi.
Trichy has already reported 19 swine flu cases from January and this is the first swine flu death. The patient had traveled to Andhra Pradesh recently where she might have contracted the virus.
